Visit to the Two Rivers Gallery

Spring is coming. It is really a sunny day. Red flags are flapping in the wind. Birds sing happily on trees. I have planed for a long time to visit the Two River Gallery, and today is the time. I went to the gallery with my friend, Ma Jun.

Frankly, this is one of my rare and precious experiences touching arts in short distance. So, I am very excited and almost jump in the gallery gate. After the lovely supervisor gave us a simple guide to the exhibition, we start our arts journey.

The first hall is full of oil pictures depicting animals living on the northern earth. There are two sister pictures portraying one dead moose and one dead bear whose furs start flying and disappearing, as may mean life finally goes back to the nature. There is one interesting art which is a tower constructed from hundreds of wood cubes on which number zero or one or a dot is painted, and every eight cubes with number are arranged as one group headed and tailed by two dot cubes. Yes, it is one byte! The author must wish to transport some information to audiences via binary system. Unfortunately, I can not remember the ASCII list.

The second hall's theme is Good and Bad. The main role is a man like cat: wearing clothes and shoes. In some paintings, the cat cooks like a house-holder, and in another paintings the cat transforms a fearing house with foot and is chasing small animals. In some other paintings, the cat becomes a visitor to an industrial city. Amazing pictures, but I can rarely understand.

After lookarounding the show, Ma Jun and I take part in an echo activity: make a bunny with stocks. Ma Jun is really a genius. She can make a very nice bunny within one hour. I can only design a pair of wings in that hour, and the wings are finally washed out by Ma Jun. She made a pair of more lovely angel-style wings. My wings are definitely hawk-style.

  What a bright day.
